Tips for Stress Resilience & Better Sleep

July 16, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Join Cynthia Libert, M.D. for an educational evening to learn the keys for getting a good night’s sleep and waking up feeling refreshed with abundant energy for the day!

High quality, restorative sleep is foundational to your well-being. There is a tremendous amount of scientific research showing that sleep problems can lead to many chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes and heart disease, and even leave you more vulnerable to cancer and dementia. If your sleep quality or quantity is sub-optimal, then your brain and life will suffer. Chronic sleep deprivation impairs working memory, processing speed, and executive function. Insufficient sleep can leave you feeling irritable and affect your relationships. Sleep problems are correlated with chronic pain, anxiety and depression. The good news is that you can improve your sleep and reduce the risk of these complications even if you have suffered with insomnia for many years.

Dr. Libert will outline the common medical conditions, prescription medications and lifestyle factors that can interfere with a good night’s sleep. You’ll also learn about a number of natural therapies and therapeutic lifestyle changes that can help you get the sleep and rest that you need to live an optimal life.

There is no cost to attend. Space is limited. Reservations required.
