Hello Friends,
I am pleased to introduce the newest member of the Caring for the Body, PLLC team, Lisa H. Gerardi, MA National Board Certified – Health & Wellness Coach, Functional Medicine & Integrative Nutrition Certified Health Coach.
Lisa was trained in a whole systems approach that integrates the principles of Functional Medicine (getting to the root cause of disease), nutrition and dietary theories, eating psychology, mind-body medicine, positive psychology, and lifestyle coaching skills. She’s had a varied career from being a theology teacher at a Catholic high school (where she coached golf and volleyball), a youth minister and business administrator of a growing suburban parish, a fund-raising consultant, a director of a telemedicine project and a business development manager of an Internet start-up.
She received her training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy, which emphasized the coaching competencies set forth by the International Consortium for Health and Wellness Coaching (ICHWC). She earned a BS in Business from Georgetown University. Lisa also earned a Master of Science degree in Spirituality and Health Studies from Saybrook University and a Master of Arts degree in Theology from the College of St. Elizabeth. She is married to Michael Gerardi, MD, an emergency physician, and they have three adult children. She enjoys golf, dance, outdoor activities, exercise and fitness, cooking, decorating, photography and listening to all genres of music.
Lisa is available for consultations, see below to explore the options for working with her. She will be joining us for live webinars periodically and writing content for the caringforthebody.org blog. I hope you enjoy getting to know her!
Warmly,
